The IIA Odisha Chapter has been proactively working towards the welfare and development of students by raising awareness about architecture as a promising career path. As part of this initiative, they conducted an awareness program, "Architecture as a Career," targeting students of classes 11th and 12th in various schools and colleges across the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Beginning with Stewart School in Cuttack, the program continued to Stewart School Bhubaneswar, DAV Unit 8, Pokhariput, Kalinga Nagar, St. Xavier's, and ODM Public School, among others. The program successfully highlighted the significance of architecture as a vital science for national development. On November 26th, 2023, the chapter also organized a painting competition at Kalabhoomi, Gandanmunda, Bhubaneswar. This session engaged students creatively while emphasizing the role of architecture in society. To sustain these efforts, the chapter planned an engaging event, "Architects-Students Interface," held on February 3rd and 4th, 2024, at Kalabhoomi, Bhubaneswar. This event featured a design workshop conducted by IIA Odisha Chapter members, fostering a collaborative and enriching environment for students from various schools. These initiatives underline the chapter's commitment to student welfare, innovation, and architectural education.
